In a nutshell
DCA sound carts are manufactured with flight case panels made of honeycomb structure composite material. In two stack parts, they are quickly dismounted in order to be easily stored or carried. Theirs dimensions were especially designed to pass through the narrower doors.
The lower part stands on two inflatable large diameter built-in wheels and two small free castors with blocking brake; it is particularly intended for batteries; a rear multipoint connector allows the connection of 5 electric 12V cables to the upper part.
This one is intended for storage and the cabling of a mixing desk with a recorder. Two large dimensioned slide drawers are surmounted by a sliding plate for setting up a Sonosax SX-S (maximum 10 modules large) or a Cooper (CS 206 or 208). Above, a second foam covered plate receives the recorder like PD 4, Nagra or Cantar. Rear is a patch which allows to off-set the inputs/outputs of the mixing desk but also the arriving/departure of power.
This sound cart is provided along with a separated box which includes from 6 to 8 Audio Ltd DX2000/2020 receivers; these are powered with only one XLR5 connector and linked to the patch by a multipair unplugable cable.
