In a nutshell
Schoeps MS Pair CCM 4-CCM 8 is by far the most compact and lightest MS pair, which provides, by some accounts, a very accurate stereophonic image. It is made up of two CCM series miniature microphones (cardioid CCM 4 and figure-8 CCM 8), of Rycote suspension hoop, of KLY 115/0.25U miniature connection case (XLR5 output) and of a spherical windscreen (with windjammer) or of a complete Zephyx windscreen.
Our recommendations
Like all MK series capsules, CCM MS pair requires protection against wind and draughts. As capsule coincidence forbids use of foam or polyester basket-type windscreens, a Rycote windscreen is sometimes necessary, even indoors.
