Tram TR-50 was formely widely used on production shoots, but nowadays, like others, it has been replaced by smaller-sized lavalier microphone. Yet, abroad and in France, it is still often used on documentary shoots and ENG, because of its side capsule which can be protected from wind by facing it towards human body. Moreover, a quite complete mounting accessory range allows one, inter alia, to use it like pressure zone microphone (PZM).
