Sennheiser MKE 2 omnidirectional belongs to MKE electret series introduced in the Eighties, with which Sennheiser was one of the first to reach high-standard miniaturization, combining sturdiness, stability in the long run and good sensitivity to temperature and humidity. These microphones were formerly very popular, and some sound mixers are still used to them and like their bass colour, as well as their standard mixer equalization. The steel wire cable is specially strong. A lower-sensitivity model is available for very high levels. MKE 2 is supplied with fixing accessories, among which is a magnetic clip.
