In a nutshell
SQN-3M, since its introduction, more than twenty five years ago, has been revised and upgraded many times. First designed as Nagra SN peripheral, the SQN-3M has met a wide range of users and is now mostly used for ENG. Found everywhere, from Beirut to Kabul, this mono field mixer - the only one rented out by DC Audiovisuel - has long proven its sturdiness and reliability. It is easy to use, with excellent ergonomic design and provides large dynamics range, which can be controlled through a rather transparent sounding limiter. Let's underline that on latest models, the manufacturer has at last replaced screwdriver operated switches by simple switches. But these controls are still set on the bottom panel of the mixer and access is rather inconvenient: this is the only drawback of SQN mixers.
