In a nutshell

The Audioroot eSMART BG-DU power distribution box offers 8 protected outputs, divided into three groups (1 group of 4 outputs, 2 groups of 2) each group controlled by a locking switch. It can be used with all types of batteries, SLA, Ni-MH, Li-Ion, Li-Fe from 6V to 24V.

Regardless of the battery type and thanks to its coulomb counter and calibration routine, the eSMART BG-DU box is able to calculate and display in real time on its LCD screen the remaining battery capacity (in percentage) and remaining time to empty, as well as the voltage, current and power distributed.

When used with a smart battery (SBS stands for Smart Battery System), it displays the various internal parameters provided by the battery itself: voltage, current and power supplied, as well as the battery temperature and the number of charging cycles. For this purpose, a 4-wire connection cable is required.

Its size (85 x 75 x 30 mm) and low weight (129 g) make it the ideal accessory for powering a compact audio gear in a bag with recorder and multiple RF receivers.

The eSMART BG-DU box is rented with the adapter for Smart Battery, eHRS4-OUT, consisting of a 4-pin Hirose connector, a 4-wire cable and a smart battery slot.

Our recommendations

Warning: it is not possible to use a Hawk-Woods NPC-SQN4S with the Audioroot eSMART BG-DU because the pins of the Hirose connectors of NPC-SQN4S are connected two by two (1 with 2 and 3 with 4). The Audioroot eSMART BG-DU uses pins 1 and 4 for power supply, pins 2 and 3 for communication with the smart battery.
