This MiniDisc recorder uses the Sharp 1-Bit Digital Audio technology providing a good audio quality. Even if it can't surpass the Sony MZ-R700 regarding ergonomics, it should be the perfect recorder, thanks to its ATRAC3 compressed format, for extrem conditions, for shooting with discretion, or for backup system, not to forget for playback broadcasting thanks to its editing functionnalities.

Depending availability, this product could be replaced by the older Sharp MD-MT190 MiniDisc recorder.
