In a few words

Sonosax SX-PR series, thanks to SX-S mixers reputation, has had its moment of glory. This modular "field / desk" mixer has the Swiss precision of Sonosax sound. It's available in 2, 4, 6 or more input modules case. Transformerless inputs and outputs, flexible ribbon cable to reduce weight and bulkiness: many innovations that have unfortunately lowered reliability. Among other things, it is criticized for: connectors on rear panel, tricky in carrying bag; rather uncommon camera connectors (sub-d); controls setting on top panel, tricky disposition for over-the-shoulder use; rather uncommon battery type (LR14); and, generally speaking, poor ergonomic design.
