Transfer to FINAL CUT PRO with Master CD-Rom Burning
In a nutshell

Transfer to FINAL CUT PRO with Master CD-Rom Burning: when working for virtual editing on APPLE Final Cut Pro non-linear system (NLS), our technician listens to the whole of the sound dailies, identifies each take after the other and transfers them to a CD-Rom, in order to transfer afterwards the sounds to the NLS. This CD-Rom is a true copy of the original two-tack recording. Once film editing is over, film-editing workstation hard drives are directly mounted onto the digital audio workstation (DAW). As Final Cut Pro only accepts two tracks, this process is only possible with original mono or two-track recordings (analog ¼", DAT, Nagra V, or Mixdown from Cantar, Nagra VI, SD).
