Among with Sennheiser EW 512-P sytem, the German manufacturer has gone all-out offering the EW series. This series, which is a very good value for money, is available in many variants. It's a reliable wireless system affordable for musicians, professional videomakers, enlightened amateurs and semi-professionals. The system (which is not "diversity"), made up of pocket transmitter and receiver, features 16 UHF frequencies, LCD setting display, mute function and flashing LED low-battery indicator. This wireless system does not offer quality and transparency of a professional unit but people use it a lot for low-budget documentaries, provided it is equipped with a good lavalier. Sennheiser EW 512-P unit is often used on production shoots to transmit recorder time code to TC slate.
