In a few words

Cooper CS 106 is a direct competitor of the Sonosax SX-S6. It provides excellent performance, dynamics wise, thanks mostly to inputs and outputs transformers. On input channels, the half-parametric section is quite complete, and each limiter has three different settings. On output module, monitoring, send and return management offers many possibilities and allows to set up a communication network. Counterpart of this great flexibility is heavier weight and bulkiness. Moreover, general ergonomy suffers from the big number of controls and operating is less intuitive than its competitors. Let's underline that two extra outputs module (for a four-track recorder) or stereo input module (LR or MS) can take place of one mono channel.
