In a few words

Schoeps CMXY 4 is an XY pair with coincident capsules very light and compact. It is made up of two MK 4 Vg side entry capsules, equipped with a toothed wheel basis making angle adjustment possible without affecting the main stereo axis, and also with a pivot allowing to tilt more or less the pair on output connector axis (XLR5M). Miniaturized preamps are integrated into the body. The pair is mounted on an A20 CMXY Schoeps suspension fitted to a Cinela Zephyx or Rycote windscreen.

Our recommendations:

Like all MK series capsules, CC XY pair requires protection against wind and draughts. Capsule coincidence forbidding use of foam or polyester basket-type windscreens, Cinela Zephyx or Rycote windscreen is sometimes necessary, even indoors (wind jammer is supplied).
