The average temperature during the first weeks of shooting was around -4°F to -22°F.

Unlike the staff of the Moscow Circus who made drink not less than three litres of vodka per day to their elephants so that they can resist this arctic cold, we do not have to test the same therapy on Cantar, but we quite simply equipped it with heating thermistors placed under the LCD vumeters, because under extreme cold, those have unhappy tendency to slow down like the pachyderms.

These thermistors were powered by a 12V 12AH lead-acid battery, which allowed from four to five hours efficiency.

Concerning the hard drive as the internal burner, there was any problem and Cantar worked perfectly during all shooting.

While assuming also the post-production of this film, we noted with satisfaction by listening to the dailies that the sound mixer had not preferred, for its own account, to follow the recommendations of the Moscow Circus veterinary surgeon.
