In a nutshell

DPA 4061 is a low sensivity of the DPA 4060 lavalier microphone whose response and colour are really close to those of condenser microphones. When it is not baffled, i.e. not stuck on human body, it is remarkably equalized, so much so that some mixers use it as a permanent secondary microphone. Several interchangeable protective grids allow one to modify its treble response (refer to diffuse field/free field), and manufacturer uses from now on a more flexible cable which reduces contact noises. Let's point out that DPA is Bruël & Kjaer trademark, which is a reference for acoustic and vibratory measurement, thus for standard microphone as well.
