In a few words

Countryman B6 is certainly to date the smallest lavalier mike on the market: the body is hardly larger than the wire. It is built on the same process as some of its competitors set off on drive to miniaturization: the side capsule is set lengthwise, whereas wave input is frontal through tube end. Counterpart for such small-sized capsule surface is lower sensitivity and clarity-lacking response. Easier to conceal (or to leave in sight!) thanks to its size, it requires more signal settings to match conventional mikes.

Our recommendations:

In order to reduce body size to its limits, manufacturer has diminished the size of protective windscreens and internal damping. So mike is sensitive to plosives and whistling. Manufacturer-provided and advised accessories obliterate its record size, and make it less interesting than its competitors for concealed placements.
