In a few words

Schoeps CCM XY 4 is an XY pair with near-coincident capsules very light and compact. It is made up of two miniature CCM 4 frontal input capsule mikes, mounted one above the other, at a 90° fixed angle. They are suspended from a metal hoop which can be inserted into Cinela Zephyx or Rycote windscreen. Outputs use a strap joining together two miniature LEMO coaxial connectors with a connector XLR5M.

Our recommendations:

Like all CCM series mikes, CCM XY pair requires protection against wind and draughts. Capsule coincidence forbidding use of foam or polyester basket-type windscreens, Cinela Zephyx or Rycote windscreen is sometimes necessary, even indoors (wind jammer is supplied).
