In a nutshell

Beyer M 201, very sturdy, with response close to M 160, as well for sound colour as for output level, is a hypercardioid microphone which integrates a moving coil in its cylindrical body. It is more discrete than M 88 or M 69, and thus easier to conceal when it is used as secondary microphone. Because of its low sensitivity it can be handheld more safely than M 88.
