Sennheiser HD 25 headphones, successor of Beyer DT 48, are very popular with equipment rental companies because of sturdiness and modularity: all parts can be changed in case of breakdown or excessive wear. Very popular with video sound mixers, they quickly became key headphones with (young) production sound mixers for lightness and balanced frequency response: one hears boom noises during take recording, and not only the next day looking at dailies... Moreover, headband is adjustable and capsule is rotatable for one-ear listening. Impedance is 70 ohms and they can provide a sound pressure level of 120 dB, with total harmonic distortion lower than 0.3%.
