Universal metallic shock mount

In a few words

The DCA Shock Mount, designed more than twenty years ago, is manufactured in DC Audiovisuel workshop. Its main feature is to be twin suspended: the microphone is inserted into rubber bands tensed inside a tube part, itself is rubber suspended on the hoop which fits the boom pole. The infra-low frequencies attenuation is then largely improved compared to simple shock mounts (Audio Technica, LTM...). The hoop base is Congress pitch tapped (3/8"): this avoids using an easily losable nut. This shock mount still largely finds favour with sound assistants for half-shotgun mikes mounting, as for heavy mikes and for those of large diameter.
