Carbon light baby fishpole boom

In a few words

VdB BB is a short length carbon boompole. Thanks to a high technicality manufacturing process and the choice of an extreme quality graphite fibre module, the VdB boompoles are made up of six segments where their competitors have only five even four. Common concentric coupling collars are however effective with a minimum of torque on a short course. The much reduced weight, the extreme interior and external adjustment precision and the smooth surface make them hands friendly. A foam mushroom cap at their end will prevent excessive shocks on the microphone and interchangeable mounting stud tips allow microphone, suspension or windscreen quick changes.

Because of a 4/1 extension ratio, this baby boom, extremely short when un extended (40 cm), which is practical for case transportation, nevertheless makes it possible to reach a good length (160 cm) for ENG style production or should be perfect for exiguous places like car compartment.

Tips & Hints

- Be careful that too much tightening the locking collars would decrease their efficiency.
- The previous internal nylon joints of the VdB boompoles tended to inflate with water. Before any storage, thus think of well cleaning your pole after deployment under the rain or in very wet condition.
