Sound Devices saved by Apacer Tuesday 27 June, 2006
DCA provides with its 744 and 722 an external burning device, Apacer Disc Steno CP300 or AD330, standalone DVD burner which can read all memory card formats.
As the Sound Devices recorders are mainly used in the documentary, if the shooting is somehow long, it is necessary to proceed to the backup of the internal harddrive or the Compact Flash on a notebook computer what proves to be problematic in difficult or somewhat sporting conditions.

This is why DC Audiovisuel now provides with its recorders a backup device which can read the Compact Flash and burn CD or DVD usable then on any editing workstation. Time to swallow a ham-butter sandwich with only one face (the ham), expenses oblige, and your copy is already carried out. The supported DVD formats are multiple, + or -R, + or -RW, with high burning speeds.

This compact backup device is powered by an internal battery, chargeable thanks to a small AC powered adapter, then allowing eight hours autonomy.
