What's your boomer's power consumption? Friday 01 April, 2005
Well, for the new generation: 2 Amps under 12 Volts. Are robots moving like humans, hands up, boom in hands, a science fiction dream, an unknown Asimov novel ? Absolutely not !
Boom Operator Robot first tests are very convincing. US scientists (ischo raz) managed to reproduce a human step: movement fluidity thanks to knee flexibility and to arms synchronisation with opposite legs. In just a few seconds, R' Boomy can walk and adapt itself to any ground.
Robot is equipped with speech recognition software. Only one rehearsal is needed to store talent's lines in its flash memory. A few improvisations are acceptable, even using different languages. This program interacts with a video image recognition soft, making possible very precise mike placement. There won't be mic in the frame any longer...
All that thanks to military researches on global positioning software.

And why not, one day, I have a dream, via BlueTooth protocol maybe R' Boomy will be able to directly interact with my Cantar!
